How much does a Rally Driving Experience cost?

All Knowledge Centre Articles & Videos Learn About Rally Driving

Rally driving experiences can cost anything between £99.00 and £500.00 and wherever you are in the UK there will be a rally driving experience of some sort. At the entry level a £99.00 rally driving experience you can expect to spend around two hour at the venue and drive a rally car for fifteen to twenty minutes. At the £500.00 top end of the range you’ll spend a full day at the venue and can expect to spend around an hour in the driving seat. It all comes down to what you want to get from your rally driving experience. If you just want to experience slipping and sliding around a muddy track there’s something for you; if you want to drive on a real forest gravel rally special stage there’s something for you; but if you’d like to be taught special rally driving techniques and really encouraged to develop your skill level in them, there’s something for you too.

Our range of Rally Driving Experiences fall somewhere in the mid-range, starting at £179.00 for an introductory Clubman’s Half Day Experience driving a ‘Magical’ Nissan Micra up to £395.00 for a full day driving an ‘Awesome’ Subaru Impreza.

Every Rally Driving Experience begins with your rally driving instructor giving you two demonstration laps, introducing you to the Rally Special Stage and the special rally driving techniques he will help you develop. Rally driving is unlike any other form of driving, some of the special techniques are counter intuitive and the lines that we ask you to develop are quite different to those you follow on the road or a racing circuit. You’ll be in a group of four or five drivers to share your learning experiences with - and it’s a lot of fun learning!

On your first few laps you’ll get used to how a real rally car feels on the slippery, twisty rally special stage. Your first driving session gets you comfortable with the rally car, the Rally Special Stage route and you’re first steps at driving like a real rally driver. You will develop your technique lap by lap and control great slides, flowing from one to the next. Co-ordinating six things in little more than a second is a tough task at the handbrake turns, but there are plenty of chances to practice and get it just right. Your Motorsport UK Licensed Rally Driving Instructor will really encourage you to push your own limits to achieve as much as you’re able and a little more than you thought you could! We can’t promise to turn you into the next Colin McRae or Richard Burns but we’ll do our best to make you sure you feel like them!
