Bill Gwynne’s motorsport career began in 1953 when aged 13yrs he won the first motorcycle event he took part in and continued until July 2018 when he drove an ex-Carlos Sainz Escort Cosworth at the Goodwood Festival of Speed Rally Stage. He won three national motocross championships in the late fifties, five national rally championships in the late seventies and a further two national motocross championships in the early 2000’s.

He competed throughout Great Britain and Europe; ran the world’s first motocross training school in the 1960’s; operated rally driving schools throughout the world with his most successful student going on to win two World Rally Championships and enjoyed training countless young drivers in the unique subtleties of driving a rally car very quickly on loose and tarmac surfaces.
