Jersey. . . the new hotbed of rallying!

Off-shore banking and Bergerac are two of the more identifiable characteristics of the beautiful island of Jersey. So is the 20mph speed limit.
Motorsport does have its place of course but with limited roads and limited people, there really isn’t that much of it . . . until now perhaps.
Peter Gwynne, Chief Instructor at Bill Gwynne Rallyschool International, has just returned from Jersey having put ten new rally drivers through the BARS MSA Stage Rally Licence Assessment. All the participants are planning to begin their stage rally careers this season.
Peter Gwynne:
“It was great to be invited by the rally community on Jersey to enable so many new drivers to take up the sport, and to see the enthusiasm for rallying there. In the current economic climate it was very encouraging to see such a large group of new drivers joining the rally community. In fact it was the *second time this year I’ve put a group of ten new drivers through the MSA assessment.” *the first was in January at Bill Gwynne Rallyschool International, Northants
Following in the footsteps of his father and Rallyschool founder Bill Gwynne, Peter has established an impressive CV as a rally driving coach. Conrad Rautenbach (WRC) Sean Gallagher (JWRC) and Andrew Jordan (BRDA & BTCC) all spent considerable time under his watchful eye early in their careers.
